"Five dollars of sausage links, please."
I laughed my ass off more than once while reading this entry. I can't wait to read more of Crackers.
And Miss August, my wife went to WMU. Small world!

Sara graduated in 1999, Speech Pathology Major. She didn't seem to like Kalamazoo that much, but then she met me and really turned her life around.

Oh I was a freshman in 1999 so I wouldn't have met her. But it's good you rescued her from MI!

Nice, Laura. First, it's nice to see that someone noticed the addition of my little breakfast diner. It's modeled after a place in Chicago called The Golden Apple. It's in the Lakeview neighborhood (big gay community, and happened to be where my massage therapy school was located) and it was exactly the sort of place where people would order five dollars worth of sausage and glasses of maple syrup. It's also the sort of place where young bohemians mingle with garbage men and truck drivers. Like a breakfast diner version of the Cantina in Star Wars. I have a picture somewhere.
