Silverthought
Press (ST) is an independent publishing company based in Northern
New York. Paul Hughes (Enemy, An End, Broken: A
Plague Journal ) founded ST in January 2001 as a place for writers
and fans of speculative fiction to gather, display, and discuss
their work, and the site quickly developed into a thriving online
community. The print division of Silverthought was formed in 2005.
The release of ST's first three publications coincided with the
five-year anniversary of the launch of the online division. ST has
since published fourteen novels and four collections of short fiction
featuring the work of over forty writers. In 2007, Silverthought
expanded to include two imprints, Offense Mechanisms and Megan's
Closet. In 2010, the company will launch an expansive collaborative
fiction site called night.blind.
