Paul Hughes, a critically-acclaimed speculative/transgressive fiction author and interdisciplinary artist, is the editor of Silverthought Press. Hughes cites authors Samuel R. Delany, Chuck Palahniuk, Bret Easton Ellis, and Amy Hempel, editor Walter Murch, world wide web inventor Tim Berners-Lee, rock star Benny Mardones, the Mythbusters, and the Orange County Choppers as his major creative influences. When not managing Silverthought Press, Hughes works as pre-press editing liaison for the Department of Translation and Interpretation of the National Pingtung Institute of Commerce in Taiwan and as a freelance new media designer for University Communications at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY. Hughes lives a hermit life in a slanted farmhouse with his anonymous cat in Philadelphia, NY. His hobbies include smoking, getting dumped, caulking windows, sending fanmail to Kirk Douglas, getting dumped, and smoking.
